Validator-NT’s™ patented cable certification and network configuration tests will help you gather the necessary information to manage your network easily, while documenting changes, moves, adds, upgrades or new configurations. Validator-NT™ measures and presents fast and clear Cat5, Cat5e and Cat6 IEEE 802.3 SPEED and PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATION results for all of your network cabling up to 1 gigabit. Speed certification testing assures the cabling will do the job it is rated to do, enabling your network switches, hubs, routers and systems to operate at maximum efficiency.
The Validator NT's™ Active Network Tests are designed to identify network devices such as hubs, switches, NICs, and routers on your network and verify connectivity (manual IP or via DHCP) to the internet by pinging up to seven different IP addresses simultaneously.
Active Network Tests included in the Validator-NT™:
Port Discovery – Identifies telephone, Ethernet connections, or network devices (such as switches, hubs, NIC or Auto MDI/MDI-X) connected to the other end of the jack or cable and displays information about what is detected. If neither voltages nor Ethernet is detected, Validator NT™ automatically searches for a remote and then runs a cable speed certification test.
Ping Test – Verifies connectivity to IP addresses by pinging up to seven different IP addresses simultaneously. Can be run in DHCP or manual mode.
Hub Flash – Sends an intermittent signal to flash the status light on Ethernet equipment for tracing connection locations.

Plan-Um links together all the different cable criteria that are found in complex voice/data/video installations and presents this information in concise printed reports, while storing data for future use.
